A ship equipment manufacturer has reported that the hydraulic cylinder with the new earring did not show any stress corrosion cracks during the 2000-hour salt spray test. "Especially when bearing alternating loads, the reliability has been significantly improved," the quality supervisor said. The failure rate of the equipment has decreased by 40%, and the maintenance cost has been reduced by 25%. The enterprise has established a complete machining database for the earrings of stainless steel hydraulic cylinders, covering the parameters of various materials such as 304 and 316L. The R&D team revealed that they are developing a machining parameter optimization system based on machine learning, which will be able to achieve adaptive machining for different batches in the future. "This will promote the intelligent transformation of the machining of earrings of stainless steel hydraulic cylinders." With the maturity of this technology, the localization rate of high-end hydraulic components in China is expected to be further increased, providing more reliable transmission solutions for fields such as ocean engineering and rail transit.
